Food science and technology

Food science is the study of the physical, organic, and synthetic makeup of nourishment; and the ideas lying under food processing. Nourishment technology is the application of food science to the processing, preservation, packaging, selection, distribution and use of healthy and safe food. The Institute of Food Technologists defines the meal science as "the strength of mind in which the biological, engineering, and bodily sciences are mainly used to learn about the nature of foods.
